Shelby is a community of approximately 9300 people and is a typical mid-western town. Shelby, surrounded by a large farming community, is supported by manufacturing , warehousing, service businesses, and small retail establishments.
St. Mark's Episcopal was established in Shelby, OH in 1888. It has been in its current location since 1892. A short excerpt from the SHELBY CITY DIRECTORY 1901-1902 is found below detailing some of our early history. St. Mark's has provided a continuous Episcopal presence in northern Richland County for over 120 years.
